Berenice Figueroa- Layered, Experimental, and Quirky

Fashion is a golden road paved with identity. It is color, texture, and style come to life. November’s fashion icon senior, Berenice Figueroa, takes this idea to heart. She is inspired by the vivacity of some famous icons, including Harry Styles.

“What inspires my style is men who don’t care about masculinity and wear whatever they want, one example being Harry Styles. I’ve been a fan since I was little and seeing him express himself through clothing and music really inspires me to be myself,” remarked Berenice Figueroa.

Figueroa’s other fashion inspirations include Freddie Mercury and Zendaya.

Pictured above, Figueroa dons a milky white, frilled turtleneck and tops it with an argyle cardigan. Hints of cream and powder blue create dimensions and a cool toned look. Figueroa styles a pair of distressed, light blue mom jeans accompanied by a classic pair of black 1460 Leather Doc Martens. Lastly, to complete her look, she compliments a pair of dangly heart-shaped earrings with some eye-catching golden rings.

“What fashion means to me is expressing yourself,” said Figueroa. “No one really knows who you are but they judge you based on your appearance and I think it’s a fun way to show who you are.”
