As the 2025-2026 girls varsity soccer team arises, the players are working hard to become the best they can be. From intense training to lengthy practices, their grind is clearly paying off. The team has started league play strongly with two wins and one tie. The girls’ varsity soccer team faced Washington Union on January 27th and earned a hard-fought 1–0 victory. They then competed against Immanuel on January 29th, finishing with a 1–1 tie. Later in the week, on January 30th, the Bears traveled to Hanford West and secured a convincing 3–1 win. These triumphs did not just build connection and team chemistry, but also reinforced a bigger purpose: giving it your all.
Striker Starlette Ordonez contributed two goals in the match against Hanford West, helping secure the Bears’ 3–1 win. This team is driven by a strong bond and discipline. The girls consistently push themselves to perform better than they did in the previous game.
“I hope that in the future we can win the league, especially since the school hasn’t done so in a long time,” exclaimed Starlette Ordonez.
After a long match, left winger Mia Pruneda states, “On the way back, it’s more relaxed. We reflect on what went well, what we can improve, and enjoy whatever the outcome is.”
“Even after each match, the team focuses on learning from their performance and preparing for what’s next, a mindset often associated with successful teams. With communication, trust, and growth at its core, the team continues to progress both on and off the field. Rather than focusing solely on results, the team places importance on effort, reflection, and growth.
“We have a strong bond built on trust and support,” Mia Pruneda shared. “Everyone pushes each other to improve, and that connection makes us stronger both on and off the field. Moving forward, we want to continue growing together and staying united, no matter the outcome.”
