As temperature drops, the outfits we see in our very halls begin to radiate in warmth. The shift of the weather hits our closets the hardest, but who’s to say this is a bad thing?
Giselle Luna, senior here at Selma High, has a lovely approach when it comes to dressing up in this weather. Giselle loves to dress up for school and explains that putting effort into her appearance really plays into the way she performs in class.
“I could say that dressing up gets me through the 50-minute class periods effortlessly and the compliments I receive from others in class, hallways, or the restroom make my day!” says Giselle.
Giselle is a prime example that if you look good, you feel good. Giselle doesn’t let the weather affect her sense of style, instead it only helps enhance it. Transitioning from warm to cold weather isn’t always the easiest, however Giselle has her own necessary pieces in her wardrobe that help make this transition seamless.
To get through this cold weather, Giselle states that her winter must-haves this year are definitely her Uggs and what she decides to pair them with.
“A nice pair of leggings is also a necessity during the cold weather, and leg warmers are a staple that enhances any outfit!” said Giselle.
Giselle also adds that her favorite spots to shop for clothes are Pacsun or the website Shein.
“I get my inspo from girls who post their ‘OOTD’ (outfit of the day) on TikTok or Pinterest,” she says.
Overall, Giselle does a fantastic job styling pieces together and making dressing up during this harsh weather seem effortless.
