Upon the pond, there’s a feathered shield,
The goose defends, her love’s revealed.
With outstretched wings, and piercing cry,
She promises her own will never die.
I watch her closely from the shore,
I’m in awe, and I can’t ignore.
Because in that scene, so wild and free,
I see a bond that isn’t missed by me.
The beauty of a daughter and a mother,
It can’t be compared to no other.
Through sun and rain,
We rise again.
And our grace forever fresh and new,
You know that I love you.
Times can be rough, and we can fight,
But you will always tuck me in at night,
And say prayer,
Because what we share,
Can’t be compared,
And yes I’m aware,
That you love me too.
Forever and Always.
