We should learn to be appreciative of the people around us. Those who make a big impact on others many times go unnoticed.
Leticia Garza here at Selma High works alongside her coworkers to keep the food service going.
“I have worked for Selma Unified since 2019,” stated Garza. “I started as a sub.”
Garza began this new journey as a sub and she has continued this path for about five years now. Garza enjoys her job as well as being able to help and attend others.
Another thing that Garza really enjoys about her job is how her schedule runs as it helps her greatly.
“My hours work perfectly for me and my family,” expressed Garza. “Having the same days off as my daughter through the years has been great.”
While there are many positives to Garza’s job, of course, nothing will ever be perfect. Difficulties are always something we will face but we can always work through them.
“The hardest part of my job is coming back from summer vacation. It takes me a couple of days to get back in work mode,” says Garza.
Although it might be a little hard to recover from breaks, we should always try our best when we are doing work. Likely, Garza is able to provide everyone with her full effort.
Garza’s job also requires lots of hard work and dedication.
“Working as FSAI (food service assistant one) revolves around [providing] the best nutritional value for students and making sure every student has a good nutritional meal every day when at school so they can learn and be well,” said Garza.
Garza’s job is to help students by providing them with nutritional food. Garza is able to impact many people and enjoys doing her job, as she has been doing it for about five years now.
