A new business is on the rise. Do you crave something sweet to satisfy that sweet tooth? Need some cute and delicious treats for a party? Or do you simply just want to get a friend a nice gift? If you answered yes to any of these questions or even if you didn’t, why not check out Capetillo Sweets. It would help support a small business and you’d also get to enjoy a carefully crafted treat.
SHS senior Brianna Capetillo and her sister Regina Capetillo embarked on a journey to create a small business where they can explore their love for baking and creating but also build entrepreneurial tactics. Tactics that will help them embark on a bigger journey toward their dream of opening a bakery of their own.
“This will help us use it as a head start for when my sister decides to open a bakery after high school or college,” Brianna Capetillo stated.
It is not easy to start up a business. It takes a lot of courage and discipline to ensure that the best outcome is given to customers. Brianna and Regina work hard to balance the task of building up their business but also to stay on top of school.
“Setting boundaries to make sure that I have time to do work but still have my own time,” added Brianna.
For these students, it is important to maintain a lifestyle that is not only manageable but will help them improve the way they handle their own time. When it comes to being a business owner it is especially important to have these sets of skills ensuring that an individual can have enough freedom to be creative and enough responsibility to ensure the best for their customers. Brianna and Regina seem to have found the perfect balance, as it helps them specifically manage their time while simultaneously giving their best work and effort. They make countless efforts to get the word out there, they post on their Instagram account (@capetillo_sweets) and get their friends to help them by reposting their posts.
“Our friends are always there to support us even if it is just by simply reposting we appreciate it,” Brianna continues.
Behind this idea of theirs lies a lot of fond memories with family and overall the connections they make because of this business. Friends and families are always there to support the girls in any way possible. With this sort of support system Brianna and Regina have found that they can feel proud of their work and the effort that comes with running their business.
“Making any treats makes us feel proud because it is something that we never thought we would do since it was always our mom making these types of things,” Brianna fondly remembers.
This business is more than its delicious treats, it is fueled with love and care for their customers. As the business continues to grow Brianna and Regina have made it a priority to focus on the quality of their work and the satisfaction of their customers. They hope that their passion and dedication will help Capetillo Sweets grow to be more than just a business but rather create exceptional desserts and unforgettable experiences. Just like they have made through the process of building this business and the fond memories they have while baking, they hope to inspire others to form their own incredible memories. That their treats will be a part of something bigger, for their treats are not only sweet but create the sweetest of memories.
