Why does skin color matter?
Every person laughs
Every person cries
Regardless if our eyes are purple
Or if our skin is green
We still see and we still feel
If it were all a dull monochrome
Would it hold any significance?
Who truly knows?
Maybe we’d find a new issue
A new way to divide ourselves
Cut the beauty of unity to pieces
Why does skin color matter?
Nobody knows
Hatred lies beneath the bloodline
Regardless if our nose is blue
Or our teeth are pink
We still breathe and we still eat
If we had no eyes
None of it would influence
We would know no color
Maybe we would judge our smell
Or the way we sound
Whatever it takes to separate, right?
Why does skin color matter?
Well, it doesn’t
Some just can’t see behind color
