Q: What’s the only right way to spend a weekend?
A: I’d like to say that for those of you who AREN’T being swamped with work over weekends, take advantage of it, really! Get some friends together to eat someplace, go see a movie, drive around if you (legally) can. Just do something different from the monotony of the week, right? I’d recommend biking if you’re able. It’s something healthy and is simple fun, just wear proper safety equipment. Now, let those of us too busy to enjoy these things be examples to the rest to make the most of their time, which we wish we had.
Q: How can I get my crush to notice me?
A: You know, I was wondering the same thing. So, I’ll try my best to offer advice that will benefit us both: don’t go chasing after them, appearing so desperate or so willing to change yourself. Sure, if you’re insanely rude, maybe you should rethink your approach, but don’t think you need to physically change. Something people seem to like is chivalry, even though I hear it’s “dead” nowadays. Still, simply being kind, respectful, attempting to have a good sense of humor (don’t worry, I still haven’t gotten that one down) and genuinely being a good person will certainly garner some attention.
Q: What do I do if I get rejected?
A: Oh boy, here we go. Not talking from personal experience here, but from a friend of someone with such a case. Getting rejected is hard, there’s no other way to put it. It may seem embarrassing and you may start to overthink a lot of things, but realize that it’s not the end of the world. I know that’s a cliché and it may not look helpful, but rejection is unfortunately a common aspect of life. Think about it: being rejected by a company, by a college or by a crush. Yes, you have every right to feel down after that, but maybe it will actually help you grow character, getting used to it from an early age and learning to overcome its impacts.
Q: What’s the greatest pick-up line?
A: Not sure if I’ve heard this one used too much anymore, but something corny and basic usually gets a reaction. Now, whether that reaction is good or bad is beyond me. In that case, maybe something like “I must be a star, because I can’t stop falling for you” would suffice.
Q: Who’s the best teacher at Selma High?
Well, OBVIOUSLY it’s Mr. Castle! Pft, who else!? Ha! Do I even need a reason? (This message was definitely not endorsed by Mr. Castle in any way, shape or form.)
