Where do I begin? Senior year was able to teach me so much.
I realized that even through hard times there is always something to push for. This can be different for each person.
For me, my motivation was mostly people and my future. I push myself for my family and my best friend. I really appreciate the memories that have been made with all the loved people around me. From staying up late to laughing at something unnecessary, everything and all the smiles will always stick with me and remind me that I do have a reason to not give up.
I’m always reminded that I need to try my best for my future. I want to be able to not have to worry about how much money I have to spend per week or even per month. I want to be stable in life and not have to worry about where my next meal will come from.
Growing up, life was hard at times as my family was low income. These times before high school were able to teach me to be humble and grow as a caring person.
I remember seeing my parents working all the time just to get their bills paid.
The meals we ate will always have a special place in my heart as they were all I had. I was young but of course thankful for everything like being able to have a meal that night.
Now, despite my family not being rich we are still able to live comfortably. I am always thankful for the way life has worked out as I feel that everything happens for a reason.
This has a lot to do with the way I think about life now.
I learned a lot when I was younger which helped me throughout high school. Ever since I was little, I was taught to not give up and fight through hard times.
I always think about younger me and how my family lived and it reminds me to keep pushing.
I will always be thankful for where I am today. All the hard work from myself as well as people around me have influenced me. I want a better future for myself as well as the people around me.
Although it sounds like everyone always says this, here I am to tell you once again, do not give up and always keep trying your best.
