You’ve seen the world in such a light for
Oh so many years.
Now you’re faced with a new sight of
Something free from all your fears.
Yet it scares you, like it does many.
It will not hurt you, nor bring melancholy.
It serves to help, to make you see that
You’ve been striving and struggling for
Something so daring.
The right to be free.
So go and achieve that irrational dream,
Betray the consequences.
Don’t fear the unknown, nor that new light.
Let it take you in, as you embrace
Your new outlook on life and enjoy that
Sweet smell of liberty.
