Letter to Me

Dear future me,
If you’re reading this, I’m glad that we’re still alive and breathing. I hope that you know at least a little bit more of what you want to do with your life. I know that we will be very successful in whatever it is we choose to do. Hopefully we’re healthy mentally and physically. Over the years, I’m sure you’ve seen all those breakdowns about the little things and I hope we think of how silly they were. I hope we never drift away from our family. Don’t forget to tell the people in our life how much we love and cherish them, even if sometimes it feels like we don’t.
Hopefully by now, we shouldn’t be overthinking as much and grow a confident mindset. Doubting ourselves will not be a problem for us, since we don’t let other people’s comments get to us anymore. Still growing as a person I’m sure we’ve changed throughout the years whether it was mentally, physically, or emotionally. I hope we realized that change isn’t a bad thing and how there will always be change surrounding us. Remember that growing won’t be easy and how we will be tested at times, sometimes to get to where we want to be, we need to first experience the bad parts. I hope we still will always try to look at the bright side of things and stay positive. Please give yourself credit for what you’ve accomplished.
One thing you should always keep in the back of your head is that reaching for perfection is impossible because there’s no such thing as being perfect. I believe that there are so many people who have regrets on what they didn’t do, rather than what they did do. I know this might sound cheesy, but I really hope we are one of those people who have almost no regrets on things we didn’t do. I hope we are doing good and never lose our passion and drive for things we want. Trying new things constantly and getting out of our comfort zone is now something that we don’t struggle with as much.
Looking back in the past is something that we need to stop doing as soon as possible. It’s called “the past” for a reason, meaning that we can’t change what has been done, but we can look into the future with a more enthusiastic outlook. After hoping for you to be so much, I promise us that I will always be our number one fan as we navigate who we are and will always remind you to never not love yourself.
