Baskin Robbins Review: Non-Dairy & Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

Brandi Aguilera and Anna Armstrong

Hey guys, Brandi here! Okay, so funny story – the December flavor of the month actually wasn’t available for some odd reason. So, Anna and I were given Non-Dairy & Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, which was the alternative flavor. I had never tried vegan ice cream before, but considering the fact that Anna and I are both lactose-intolerant, I immediately assumed this would be a favorable flavor. Oh, was I wrong! I absolutely found this flavor distasteful. I’m a huge fan of ice cream and have very much enjoyed every other flavor of the month, but this one just struck out. The moment Anna and I tasted it, we looked at each other in disgust. The chocolate chips in the cookie dough tasted a bit bland, and I wasn’t a huge fan of the coconut base in it. Vegan cookie dough, non-dairy chocolate chips, and coconut base do not mix well in my tastebuds. If you’re the type of person who likes plant-based treats, then this is the dessert for you. I found this flavor so bad that it’s not even on my rate scale.

What’s up, everyone?! It’s Anna. Okay, so Brandi already explained our unusual flavor of the month situation. However, I think it is important to note that I am generally a fan of vegan foods, including ice cream. I was excited to try this and I was pretty sure our bodies were going to thank us for finally trying ice cream that didn’t contain milk, but I can assure you our bodies did not thank us for what we inflicted upon them. Non-Dairy & Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream has now officially made the list of the worst things I have ever tasted. The ice cream had a bizarre aftertaste, which in itself was unsettling. And like my lovely co-editor expressed, the chocolate chips and related toppings tasted quite bland. Now, I know you might think this review is hyperbolic, but I can assure you it is not. Well, okay maybe a little. If you find this flavor to your liking, more power to you, but it was not for me. Rating: 2/10.
