Seniors Await Universal Studios

By JENNIFER ROSARIO ARRIAGA

On May 31st to June 1st, the Senior Class will be attending their 2018 Grad Night at Universal Studios Hollywood. They will enjoy an evening of attractions, dancing, and enjoyment in the park from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. One hundred and fifty seniors are set out to leave Thursday at 11 a.m. to enjoy their Grad Night.

Throughout the night, seniors can dance their night away, accompanied by DJ Deorro, and also catch a glimpse at special guest Derek Hough from Dancing with the Stars.

Not only this but Universal will hold special events such as the light show at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

“I’m excited to spend one last time with all my classmates before we graduate and overcome my fear for the mummy ride,” says senior Jennifer Huaracha. “I’m also excited to try butterbeer.”

This is the first year Selma High has decided to go to Universal Studios compared to prior years in deciding to go to Disneyland or a cruise.

“The next choice I saw was Universal and it was somewhere new and different,” says coordinator Mrs. Lambert.

Mrs. Loving, Mr. Alcoser, Mr. Garcia, Mrs. Harris, Mrs. Luviano, and Mrs. Gonzalez will accompany seniors on their Grad Night trip and hope they all have a great time.

“I’m just excited to have the experience. Us seniors will make the best of it,” says senior Izzy Chavez.
